S-38.145 Introduction to Teletraffic Theory (2 cr)

Exercises (Fall 2000)

Below you will find the exercises (both the problems and the solutions) in electronic form (PDF-files). The problems will appear (about) one week before the corresponding exercise class, and the solutions just after the exercise class. The participants are supposed to retrieve the material by themselves. No hardcopies are distributed by the organisers.

The weekly exercise class consists of

one homework exercise, the answer to which has to be delivered into the mail box of the course (located near the notice board of the laboratory at G-wing/2nd floor), or directly to the course assistant before the exercise class, and
two additional exercises for demonstrative purposes only.

Note that, to complete the course, each participant has to solve the given homework exercises. Each homework is worth two points. To pass the course (and to have the right to take the exam) a student has to have a total of at least 10 points, of which at least 5 points have to be obtained from homeworks 6 through 10, or from the three additional homework exercises. The homework points will be updated 1-4 times a month.

Note further that most of the problems in the examination will be similar to those presented in the exercises. Therefore, it is highly recommended to try to solve not only the homework exercise but also the additional exercises by yourself and to participate in the exercise classes.
