Spring 2003 course information


Note!

End-to-end IP Service Quality and Mobility

Topic: During spring term 2003, the course concentrates on system-level view on IP Quality of Service in mobile enviroment. See below for more information about planned contents.

General information: The course includes lectures (12x2 h) and an examination. Lectures are given by Dr. Tech. Vilho Räisänen from Nokia Networks, Espoo, Finland. The course will be given in English. This course is worth 2 study credits.

Status: Optional course; can be used as a part of postgraduate studies.

Prerequisites: S-38.180 (Quality of Service in the Internet), Zheng Wang's book Internet QoS - Architectures and Mechanisms for Quality of Service, or corresponding knowledge.

Entry: Obligatory enrolling is through WWW-TOPI.

Lectures (2 hours/week).
Altogether there will be 12 lectures held on Mondays at 10 o'clock in lecture room H402. The first lecture will be held on 13th of January 2003. Please see below for planned lecture contents.

Course completion: To complete the course, one has to pass the examination. Examination dates will be informed later.
